#74...

*Go on a completely spontaneous roadtrip*

So last Monday Stef and I were supposed to go to West Virginia to surprise Erin and see Steph. Well, Saturday night we found out that that wasn't going to work out so I was just gonna go to Indy anyways. So Sunday afternoon Stef and I decide to go to West Virginia anyways and that we would just show up and surprise Steph instead. So within ten minutes I packed my backpack and headed up to Indy Sunday night. I got there around 10 and we hadn't talked to Steph and realized we had no address to the cabin in West Virginia... so being the facebook stalkers we are, we called multiple people trying to find out where there were, but we were without luck. So we went to bed Sunday night and Stef went to work Monday morning and we still had no idea if we were gonna go or not or where we were going. At noon Stef got back from work and we tried calling Steph, but her phone was off... so we began wondering if they even had cell phone service at the cabin. Well, we randomly decided to just start driving on the 8 1/2 hour journey and see if she would call back. We left with a bunch of peanut butter sandwiches and directions to a city and state we had never been to before... with no clue where in the city they were staying and no idea if we would even be able to get ahold of them. We left hourly messages on Steph's voicemail, hoping they would go into town for dinner or something and she would get our messages. We had been driving for about five hours when we started thinking that she wasn't gonna call back and we were going to be in Snowshoe, West Virginia with no idea where they were and no place to stay. BUT, BUUUT, around 5:30, guess who calls from West Virginia???? Steph, had no cell phone service, but knows us all too well and knew that we were crazy enough to randomly decide to come anyway... so she got a calling card and called us... saving the day! And giving us sketch directions to a cabin in snowshoe :) So, after four more hours of driving through creepy West Virginia back roads, we ended up on top of a mountain with only FAKE snow. We got there at 10 at night and left the next afternoon at 2:30... but it was one good visit with one great friend and one great roadtrip that goes down as my favorite one so far... AND we met a new friend who wants to go on our cross-country road trip! So it was an awesome two days full of 17 hours in the car with my amazing roadtripping friend :)

... And, as if one spontaneous road trip for the week wasn't enough, on Friday I went on another one. Around midnight, Christie told me to get in my car and drive up to Indy... and I said I would if she was getting her tattoo the next day... and she said she would! So at midnight, I started the all to familiar drive to Plainfield... where I feel like I know the streets almost as well as my own city's :) So I spent the day with Christie and Stef... celebrating Christie's birthday and the addition of a tat to her left wrist :) and I was home for dinner :) love it!

thus... number 74 was DEFINITELY accomplished :)
